Sirens Blare as Tornado Towers Over Colorado Neighbourhood

Sirens blared as a tornado loomed over a neighbourhood in Platteville, Colorado, on June 7.

The tornado touched down north of Firestone, Colorado, and then moved west and northwest of Platteville, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service said it would be conducting a survey to determine the exact track, damage, and intensity of the tornado.

Morgan Hurla said she captured this video about three miles away from the tornado in Weld County.

That's a landspout, not a tornado. Landspout are typically ground-to-cloud, while tornadoes are cloud-to-ground.
