"A bad workman blames his tools", pretty much says it all. I've been shooting a feature film with my GH5. The director/writer loves the footage. I love the footage. I plan on continuing to shoot films with it until it drops dead. Thanks for another supportive video.

I've got underwear I feel the same way about!

Once again, you nailed it. You here it all the time like: "The best camera is the one you have." Making film is much more than just to press that record button.
Thank you Darious. Keep going

I was all about keeping my 5 year old t2i but having IBIS on the GH5 is literally life changing with how I'm able to shoot. I don't always have to be on a Glidecam anymore. All my shooting is run n gun tough so that's why. I like your points here though

You see all these guys out there saying "gear doesn't matter" but then shooting those same videos on top-notch equipment with all the frills. It's really refreshing to see somebody practice what they preach!

Love this man. This is a huge lesson to younger filmmakers out there. Doesn't matter how fancy your gear is, use what you got, and use it well.

I still used my 5D Mk2 which is almost 10 yrs. old, up until almost a year ago for video. Gotta use what ya got! *Content is Key!*

It doesn’t make sense how you’re not over a mill in subs already. The value your channel provides is immense. Furthermore, you kill it with the 60. Keep up the dope work.

Great advice. I've been using my obsessing to record and upload, now i'm ready to start using my T5i and strong my game up and learning more.

Great advice. Its amazing how many people keep chasing new gear without working on the fundamentals. I built my business with my G7.

Because you held out to use your current equipment for such time, You have become a Artist, takes time to become you! Well done..

Great perspective! Cool Shirt! I actually just pulled my T2i back out of retirement recently and have been running it as a safety shot for interviews. It's been working out great and running with a vintage 1.4f lens, it's my DOF shot.

Man thank you for this! I appreciate my 60d more. I mainly use it for photos and never touched video because I thought it was outdated and that I had to buy an expensive camera. Now I feel more confident. Really appreciate it man. Love the channel! Learned so much from you. Keep on keeping on!

This is one of the best messages I’ve heard on YouTube! “A bad workman blames his tools.” Love that! Thanks DB!

Man this is why I keep coming back to Darius—he’s just such a practical guy—not ever trying to hawk fancy gear or anything; he just keeps things real and honest. I really appreciate all of your insight man! Thanks for all the tips and advice you bring to us!

Hey Darious, first I want to say I think it's pretty insightful as to the quality of your character that you made this episode about the art verses the tools. It's a hard earned lesson a lot of people waste a lot of money, buying shit they don't need, before they learn. Simply, like any other art form, it's the skills and not the tools that matter. Many others with your audience appear to be shilling for manufacturers that have provided them with samples. Keep being a straight shooter and thanks!

you are a pure filmmaker who cares about story more than anything.. As a cinematographer I prefer pretty images -_- I could not use a 60d today without being bored
