I've never known Trader Joe's to be low-cost.
We are a WinCo family. Dirt cheap compared to anywhere else around us.

Depending on where you live, Trader Joe's can definitely be one of the best low-cost options. Some areas don't have Walmarts, Grocery Outlets, Aldis, etc.

Depends on the item. Many items are “cheaper” until you look at the cost per unit (whatever that may be pound, ounce, etc)

I've never been able to purchase everything I need at Trader Joe’s. There is always an item they don't carry or is much cheaper at my locally-owned grocer.

So I finally went to my closest TJ and was sooo disappointed with the prices. I normally shop at Kroger and Walmart. While the Quality was really good, my budget did not go nearly as far.

Weird how some people are saying TJ's is too expensive for them. I find most of their prices to be right on par with Walmart's prices.

I love this because so many people wrongly think that Trader Joe’s is expensive like Whole Foods but it’s not!!

Trader Joe’s? That’s costly for a family of 5. We start at Aldi and get the respectable priced goods- organic selection is pretty good and then head to Walmart for anything still needed. Costco for couple items like toilet paper and bread, milk & eggs.

First time I’ve heard Trader Joe’s called cheap. I’ve always heard it as being even more expensive than Publix or Whole Foods but people go because they’re brand loyal to it. I’ll admit it could just be hearsay because I haven’t been there myself.

Aldi and Trader Joe’s are owned by the same family; two brothers actually.

We have a Walmart in my town. Next town over has a Walmart, Kroger, and Publix. Walmart is the best place I can go without going an hour away

My family and I do a once a month trip to Trader Joe’s for extras. We love it! We used to shop with thrive market but cancelled that membership and do Trader Joe’s instead. Our regular shopping is done at Aldi and ShopRite.
