In this video I have a look at the new 2023 Nissan Townstar EV. This all new electric van has a 45kWh battery pack with a WLTP range of 183 miles combined or 269 miles city. The new Townstar is a rebadged Renault Kangoo E-Tech and replaces the Nissan E-NV200 electric van, which has now ceased production. This new EV is also a Mercedes EQT and T-class. The model I look around and test drove is the Townstar L1 in Tekna Plus trim, which is the top of the range.

Great video, with the Acenta model, the screen configuration remains the same. However, it's important to note that the acenta version doesn't come with its own integrated GPS navigation system. Instead, you can make use of CarPlay or Android Auto to utilize the screen as a satellite navigation tool. This feature allows you to seamlessly connect your mobile device and access navigation functions through the vehicle's display. - Love that digital drivers display in the Tekna+ ❤

This will be a much better vehicle than the old NV200!! Let’s see how it performs on a run to somewhere like Hadstock, which is just outside Saffron Walden!!

I shall see if my local Nissan man has them in stock for testing. I very much like the Leaf, but want something in which to get away when off duty!!

In the short time you drove it did feel a good ride and comfy? One of the strong points of the Renault Kangoo ZE is it’s so comfortable.

22kw AC is very very useful for lunchtime top ups. As ever it’s a small van with a small battery, perhaps a last mile work tool?

Would you do an 8by 4 sheet challenge on the L2. Just want to see if a sheet could fit in diagonally in an L2

Do you know the price and how it compares with the combustion engine version?

I know there are specific use cases but I don't understand the lack of DC charging. Unless you are never going to sell it, I can't see the logic of not having it. It must affect the resale value.

How long is it? It has to be a practical length to park in normal car parks.

Most of the dashboard is the same as my Renault Zoe car...

I don’t understand why they won’t just put “start stop” on the button instead of “start engine stop”.

So this is basically a Renault Zoe van then?

Have Nissan asked anyone to take one of these vans for conversion to a camper?

Typical of Nissan not to know the correct details about the vehicles they are selling 🤷🏻‍♂️
