My MASTERTHESIS on Generative Design

I have completed my master programme with a thesis on "Design Optimization in Early Project Stages - A Generative Design Approach to Project Development". I used Dynamo and Refinery.

Good to see you back, and a brilliant presentation on generative design!

I was very glad to see discussion 2 where you acknowledge the need for human input and intervention in generative process. Far too often my managers and other senior architects shoot down this method as they think they will have no control, when in fact they will!

One major challenge of gen. Design is that every site and project is unique, so we write algorithms each time - a lot of time to invest and hard to justify to managers in firms - I'm still trying on this front.

Hope the presentation went well, I would love to see some practical tutorials on your studies such as building dynamo scripts for refinery and your algorithmic process (especially how you achieved 'mutation' in refinery).

Hi, I'm very glad to see you so excited about your thesis. Although you think it was incredible that was my subject of my thesis for my master's degree in architectural design in 1994, although all these concepts and software tools did not exist and my teachers literally lived in the last century and they did not allow me that subject. I am excited to see that those ideas I had so many years ago are crystallizing with people as talented as you. My idea was to try to relate the theory of kaos and fractals with artificial intelligence algorithms that will generate design alternatives.

What is the adoption rate among companies globally and in the United States of the generative design method for modeling? I'm just getting into studying this and seeing it develop. Also very informative video
