Cédrix Grolet is a scam, coming from a French person. Yes his desserts are nice but many can do as well and with a more reasonable price margin. The queue is too long and the pâtisseries are overpriced.
Let's talk about this cookie 😂 it looks ridiculously so bad. For me the best cookie in France are the one that are chewy and resembles the US one. I was able to find it a special bakery kind of street food style near my town and at Subway. In France and I guess in Europe cookies are not really a thing and they are more dry which I don't like. You would choose something else but a cookie at a bakery.

At least at La Durée the macarons are the best compared to the other one you can find in France. For me it is worth it. Still touristic AF but delicious

Why to buy a cookie in Paris? France is famous for a lot of sweets, but definitely not for cookies. Cookie is a 100% American product, we have it in all Europe but they are not good, just for tourists. You can find a lot of "pasta frolla" we translate It "cookies" or "biscuits" but they are something that exists only in Italy, try them, you will absolutely love them. "Pasta frolla" Is like a universal base, with it we make cookies, cakes, pastries, ... But the best France product is obviously puff pastry, the best in all Europe. They use it for breakfast like croissant, for salted plates like "quiche", ... I love France comfort food. I'm from north Italy so I can take my car and travel to France in 5/6 hours or less. Go visit Avignon, not a tourist destination as Paris but definitely a wonderful place. I love it.❤😂
