I recommend you use much less milk, add nutmeg to the mix and throw them in the oven after the pan to bake and get crispy and cook more.

Looks so good. I love making frebch toast with potato bread as well so yummy my mom always did that and used left over semolina italian bread from bakery too on a sunday morning soo good.

Yum! My son would go nuts for this! Totally unrelated, but this made me think of donut burgers.. Have you ever seen or tried them? Krispy Kreme glazed donut as the bun with burger fixins. Totally weird but decadent and strangely sweet and savory!
