Crazy how in less than 6 minutes you manage to put out an amazing video, learnt so much about Vietnam's food/culture. Insane.

Their diet is absolutely amazing. Food here in the Philippines is now being more and more Americanized and thus we are seeing an increase in obesity rates in the country as well. My friend lived in Vietnam for a month and she lost 10 kilos because the diet is just amazing - full of vegetables and minimally processed meat + fast food is not as prevalent

I love how my visits to Vietnam always end up turning into 24/7 eating and still getting home thinner hahaha
The food is a rich mix of meats, vegetables, fruits, rice, ice, noodles, tofu, liquids, ...

Vietnam has a place deep in my heart.
I am going there on 16th of January, finally again, after the involuntary Covid break.

It's a shame this video is so short, I would've enjoyed watching a 20-30min video of you exploring Vietnam.

I love how you're not afraid to show that you don't like some food or drink in a foreign county. I've had enough of those ass-kissers who always pretend that they like everything that they put in their mouth.

Dude I'm Vietnamese and I didn't even know that my country is the least obese lmao (but I'm not really surprised). Love how accurate and informative this is, keep it up!

As a Vietnamese myself, I'm more than surprised that we're the least obese country in the world. What I am not too surprised, and I'm proud of, is that Vietnamese cuisine displays quite a harmony between good flavors, nutritious food and still healthy and fresh. Thank you again for such an insane video.

I'm Vietnamese American, and you're so right. I once spent a month in Vietnam, eating my heart out and walking everywhere. Great way to lose weight and still enjoy amazing food. Appreciate your willingness as a foreigner to try all sorts of unfamiliar foods, even if you didn't like some of it. Great video!

This 6 minutes video felt like it was 12 minutes long. It was so well packed without it being diluted by water. Pure concentrated content, very impressive

One of the reason fast food chains couldn't thrive in Vietnam is the fact that compare to our street food, the "fast food" suddenly become "slow" and expensive.

Awesome story in this, love how you were open to trying some of the less usual things for a British fella to come across, even if it wasn't to your taste.

I'm half vietnamese and half hungarian was born and raised in Hungary. I had a chance to live in Vietnam for a year in my early 20s. What I realized apart from food is that a lot of people do recreational sport. Parks were always full of people in the morning or at late afternoon/early evening doing badminton, dance, yoga, running, street workout etc. From little children to older people aswell. Lot of old people do some kind of exercise and that's amazing. I usually went to do calisthenics and joined a breakdance group (also in a park, very good feeling, very oldschool streetdance style) and every time these parks were full of people.

I am a Vietnamese and studied in the US. Within the first year I gained 10kg, it was wild. The snack and food were extremely sweet or salty. The portion was huge. My first impression was the portion to be exact. People, especially in the sub urban or rural area, were having a lot, not to say EXTREME LOADS (compared to Vietnamese lifestyle), of processed food. I was even more amazed when I moved to NYC, where "fresh and organic food" - the type of stuffs we eat on a daily basis in Vietnam - was considered a higher lifestyle. While you can get fresh food at the Vietnamese markets for cheap, it goes wild in the US markets (stuffs that are labeled organic)

As an American, I’m so embarrassed about what our country has become. When I travel internationally, and then come back to the States, I am always dumbfounded by how enormous we are. It’s truly shocking.

I just came back to Vietnam after a relatively long time (for me) in the UK, Vietnamese food to me is unbeatable. It's full of vegetables and very little oil. Meat and seafood are cooked in various ways which make my diet always enjoyable and interesting. I have never faced "What should I eat today that is low in calories" problem in Vietnam.

You know I'm from Houston, Texas and we have a giant Vietnamese population over here. So growing up a lot of that food was very common to eat. It's awesome to see some experience that culture for the first time.

I am Vietnamese American. The Vietnamese are terrified of being "fat." If you gained 5 pounds, your family would do an "intervention, " take away your food, tell you that you're fat all the time until you break down and lose the weight. And then they rejoice and try to feed you.

Being Vietnamese, I’ve really enjoyed this video and proud to see my culture be presented in such a positive light. Btw, the “liver” that you ate was actually blood from the looks of it. Pork blood is usually cooked to a certain density, then chopped up into cubes to be served with noodles. Thanks for making this fantastic video!
