one thing I love about Jackson outfitting, on the fly adjustment, especially getting in and out. But I like softer edge, to each his own 👍, live in super mank country, but Jackson has kicked up their game, win for all.

Over 1, 200 views in the first 7 hours. You’re the go-to boat review. Dane had a great walkthrough with his typical crazy on-water b-roll, but you’ve got the Everyman paddler review. It has features very similar to the Alpha 75, sans chines.

See, your demo of this boat went a long ways! Thanks Wade!

This review and your comments are surprisingly positive considering your comments in the Creek Boat Breakdown video 😂. Until today I’ve only paddled my Z3. Had a chance to demo a Gnar at a Festival today and I liked it miles ahead of my Z3. I’m interested to try others now, but getting in the Gnar quickly made me realize I want a different boat.

Man, thanks for answering these comments. Really good info in there for the boat buying public. And good work getting this review out so quickly. Is the Code better on rocks and lower volume stuff?

Definitely already thinking about how can I buy one of these boats, haha. I guess I'm kind of a Jackson fanboy since I have a Traverse, Zen 2, Nirvana, and Antix 2.0. I was thinking about getting a code possibly before this Gnarvana came out. I'm looking for a boat to make you more confident for the "next level."

Wade, love your reviews. Question: I am coming to the sport late in life at 62 and am still a beginner but running some class III’s now. I am currently in a large Mamba but it is probably 10 yrs old and starting to show its age. I am looking for the boat that will do the best job of allowing me to get down the rivers I will run and stay right side up. (BSF, Ocoee, Clear Creek, etc.). I am not into hard creeking or doing tricks/stern squirts. I am a bigger guy at 6’1” and 225, so thinking large Gnarvana or Large Code for my next boat but open to other suggestions. What would you put me in?

This boat looked pretty sick on the water, on the eagle section of the beaver this weekend people were flying out of the second slide

Thoughts on the Med vs. Large for someone who is 5'9" and 205-210 (athletic build)? Pros to the Med with my stats might be better tracking/edge engagement (?) I was thinking about the Zen 3 as well but like the movement out of things in the gnarvana over the sluggishness out of holes and off drops that the Zen 3 seems to have.

Hey Wade, nice review man! I'm 5'5'', 150 lbs. Would you recommend Small or medium Gnar?

Do you prefer the large scorch to the Gnar or just the medium scorch? What about the large did you not like? Harder to maneuver? Tossing up between a medium gnar and large scorch since Alex reckons the gnar can handle a bit more weight than specified (I'm 200lbs atm). Don't wanna end up with some harder to move around in tight spots and can't demo

How does the Gnarvana’s edges compare to the Scorch’s edges on rocks? I’ve tried the Scorch and loved it. The Gnarvana’s edges look more tucked out of the way.

I currently have a Large Scorch, it's a huge boat for me even thought I'm 5'2'' 225lbs. I have a hard time rolling it. My go to boat is my Jackson Antix 1.0 Large. I absolute love that boat and have no trouble rolling it. I've had a large machno and medium karma in the past. I liked the karma better than the machno. I'm debating on getting rid of my scorch to try and find a medium creek boat I can get into. I was looking at the code (I've never had a dagger boat) and gnarvana. What are you thoughts? I'm a class 3 beater.

Wish I hadn't got paralyzed this past winter. This looks like the boat of my dreams.
Maybe they'll let me buy one and hang it on the wall in my room. Probably not though. They don't even let us hang pictures of our loved ones here.

What size would you recommend for some like me. I am 6'1" and fluctuate between 200 and 205 lbs. The medium or the large? I have always been either on the low end of large boats or high end of medium boats.

The gnarvana looks like a cross between a nirvana and a scorch. What are your thoughts now that you paddled it Wade, scorch or gnarvana?

Yo wade! Isto just me or doesn’t it remind you of a zet cross? Especially that bow aesthetics! Also the boat design, excep the cross don’t have them rails
