I have the 2023 and it’s a dream in deep snow, rode it on a couple of 30-50cm days at Whistler last season, and some japow and it floats amazingly well; boosts off rollers and it’s super fun to turn on groomers as well. Definitely found I didn’t want to go too deep in the carves with it though due to the tail and edge hold like you say but it sounds like the 2024 might be worse in that regard

My son has last year’s caldera in a 160, and we’ve shared it on some great powder days and it is so fun. Wide open powder bowls, trees, chop, groomers, great board. I had a sashimi and the caldera 160 was like a larger sashimi, kinda preferred the caldera to the 156 sashimi. I traded the sashimi for a 157 yes hybrid curiously enough, and the hybrid feels softer to me than the 22/23 caldera but the hybrid is such a fun all-around board (and kinda reminds me of an altered warpig with camber but not as aggressive as the superpig)…
