The back of the box says that this advent calendar is compatible with 76435, which is the Hogwarts Castle: The Great Hall set. I think that means that the advent calendar is asking you to add some of the builds to the Great Hall. Maybe there should have been an official way to explain where each decoration goes inside the Great Hall set to make the compatibility more clear.

The fireworks actually look like Christmas crackers, they basically have a gift in the middle and you pull either side and then the goodies fall out, basically a small english pinata

While the builds in this advent calendar may not me something we never got before, I think that this advent calendar is the best one out of all the LEGO advent calendars for this year in terms of minifigure selection. This one comes with 7 full minifigures, and each one of them has at least one new print. It is great to get another ghost minifigure, and that Dumbledore minifigure is really detailed, even though it is still based off Richard Harris’ Dumbledore instead of the Michael Gambon one.

Those "festive items" are probably Christmas crackerw

Wow, this set is already such a huge improvement over the marvel one. It's like they have completely different budgets. Harry Potter having 10 exclusive printed pieces opposite to like 3 for Marvel.

Although yeah, the builds are a bit simple, but at least they're usable in any Harry Potter display. I'm still waiting for a Grimmauld Place advent Calendar, or maybe more likely for next year, a Burrow one. Malfoy Manor would be hilarious though, give me Santa Voldemort, Nagini the Red Nosed Snake, Dobby with lots of Christmas Socks, Snowman Deatheater or Dementor, Sugar Plum Fairy Bellatrix (Nutcracker is kinda Christmassy right? XD)

10:15 Swift trying to cast a non verbal accio to make the 21st door appear, very powerful magic

12:37 and a big chicken

Are these meant to be added inside the new great hall, 76435? I mean I know you can add them, but wondering if Lego is also suggesting this somewhere on the box :)

How does the fireplace look in the great hall? Is there anywhere convenient to put it?

This advent calendar is pretty similar to the advent calendar 2019 (75964) : tables, munchies, Christmas trees, gifts, fireplace, turkey, chess and such

Lego has been definitely offering variety with its HP property, but the downside is mutually exclusive sets that don't really pair well with one another. Like the latest Potions classroom goes into 76435, but you are left with a spare room you don't know what to do with. This calendar thingy looks perfect if you built 76435 as a dining room and wanted to expand on that theme. However, I considered just two tables not enough for that and built a Dueling Club scene there instead. And now Lego leaks a separate Dueling Club set for 2025. Will it also be designed to be compatible with 76435? Will it be a separate structure? I'm confused.

2 fire crackers and a smaller christmas tree is ..."eh" but overall i love this for that ghost, professor and 4 houses torsos and tile pieces (+ that BIG chicken-always wanted to have that lego piece).

The gargoyles are an original idea but I don’t really see something in them 🤔 I love the new printed torso’s though! The scarfs look amazing.

very very cool to get a new ghost, we're up to 5 now which is great for my book-based moc considering just how many ghosts there are supposed to be. Multiple Christmas trees is also technically lore accurate to the books so I'm not too mad about it. My dream for next year is to get a caendar based on book 5, 6 or 7, set in either Grimauld Place, The Burrow or Godric's Hollow.

I liked the Ravenclaw gargoyle the most...ok, Slytherin was kinda coolio too. And what's up with those mundane tables...they could have done better imo.

The minifigs are good especially the ghost, best part of this set. Also like the three little candy accessories but that is it. The statue builds are sad and the repeat of tables and Xmas trees 😮. Just disappointed with this one.

Nothing special like every other advent calendar from lego and this for the high price of it... But i have every other hp-calendar, so, i buy it again... mainly for the figures and because i want a advent calendar and i think hp is the best option... Marvel is also cool but ya, star wars has too many mini builds and friends i dont know. The builds from harry potter we can use for citys or so, but what i can do with the many mini vehicles from star wars?... So ya... Of course, i like the printed parts, the butterbeer and schokofrog 😅

I think the slitherin Gargoyle looks more like a griffin / dragon. Awkward.

Obviously the way you talk about this advent calendar, you dont like it… but in my humble opinion it is not bad at all. I guess for someone already having everything from Lego Harry Potter its probably a bit boring, but not for someone who start collecting Lego Harry Potter. Lots of little cool pieces from this universe.

They are not trying with the advent calendars anymore 🤷‍♂ And who can afford an elf in this economy? 😂
