As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to grow exponentially, it is spreading across multiple industries. How about legal field? Can AI be applied to legal fields that have been monopolized by humans until these days? Some U.S. states including Florida and Michigan have introduced the COMPAS software, which uses an algorithm that assesses potential recidivism according to personality, lifestyle, and criminal history. However, can AI completely replace rational thinking process of human beings? Where are the threshold boundaries of machine versus human judgement?
