The war between the First Order and the New Republic didn't quite live up to the expectations of the Templin Institute. But are we capable of doing any better? In this episode, we attempt to imagine a conflict that doesn't feel like a historical footnote.

"Is this a dangerous slide into fan fiction?"
Fuck that, I love fan fiction. When you find the perfect not shit story you feel like you stuck a massive gold vein

The whole “you can not improvise the deployment of millions” was inspired and pretty much almost word for word what Moltke said to the German Kaiser Wilhelm II. Wilhelm stated that he would just throw the entire German army east in a single front war, to which Moltke rebuked the “you can improvise the deployment” line. Wilhelm then retorted “your uncle would’ve given me a different answer”

Very inspired by WW1 and I love the reimagining.

Yeah I’m a fan of the Sequel Trilogy
- First Order Reimagined
- New Republic Reimagined
- First Order - New Republic War Reimagined

The killing fields and meat grinder tactics made the reimagining feel real. You actually made the Sith out to be actual bad guys instead of “obverse Jedi” you made them commit atrocities and crimes with no regard to sentient life. I loved every second of it.

Don’t stop your reimagined series after this. We need your quality in this world.

It's a shame the First Order, in the sequel trilogy, became the Empire but just more ":evil" looking. Just bigger, dark painted ships and vehicles with all interior lights being red. Meh.

_"5 years, 5 long years. That is how long it took us to get Coruscant back."_
This was an astounding video. The blending of events that occurred in the sequel trilogy combined with many new inputs provided quite the spectacle with a number of improvements. The description of battle strategies and ideological doctrines, the name references to WW1, WW2 & various Star Wars characters, places, and events; & that late addition of Thrawn. Though that cliff hanger at the end was a shock. A lot of open-ended areas for speculation. You indeed should do Reimagining for other franchises.
Whatever the outcome for this 2nd Great Galactic Civil War. I shall say this: *"For the Republic!"*

Man, this conflict feels so grand, I can’t even imagine how many films it would take to cover everything!

“Lady Lothal” alone likely would need her own spinoff series; a New Republic Defender too angry to die, leading a growing flotilla of survivors as they make their way back home. -“So say we all!”- I mean, “For the Republic!” xD

This is the conflict we deserved to see on screen

Its easy to see that this draws heavily from WW1 history - Miracle at the Marne, the Schlifen plan, Von Moltke the Younger, and the fallback to the Hindenburg Line and the defense in depth strategy. Also the entry of the huts like Romania. Really interesting to see how that can apply to such a wide galaxy.

The parallels to real world conflicts in this are strong and powerful. So well done! Your three Reimaginings are my head canon for the ST and some RPG campaigns set during it.

Loved when you included the Separatists in the Reimagined Resistance/New Republic, and was over the moon that the 34th Droid Legion got a (somewhat) prominent role.

Didn’t see Thrawn coming. Good twist and honestly would have been great if Lucasfilm had actually done it

"One does not improvise the deployment of millions."
"Your father would have given me a different answer."
"Palatine would have known better than to ask."

Savage AF 😎

Finally the trilogy is getting its conclusion

Assuming Luke survived this universe’s version of Crait, imagine him interacting with Thrawn.

This would fit a great 3 act structure for a trilogy.
Movie 1: the first order and the protagonists learning about the potential invasion
Movie 2: INVASION
Movie 3 Counterattack and victory

It would even leave a decent amount of background stuff for the inevitable comics, games, and TV shows

The amount of WWII references in this reimagined Second Galactic Civil War made me smile. I would love to have an entire story about “Lady Lothal” or as she shall be deemed, the Star War’s version of U.S.S. Enterprise (CV-6).

Really great!

"One does not improvise the deployment of millions"
Nice reference to Moltke the younger and the Kaiser's conversation.

21:09 “snokes sudden removal and suspected execution surprise everyone from both sides.”

Historians who actually studied the past: is it, is it really surprising? 😂😂

Edit: WHAT THE HELL, THRAWN IS HERE!!!

Finished the video edit: I want more, I don’t care if it diverges into fanfiction, it’s better than the sequels at least.
