I just learned this not too long ago. After Aragorn says, "For Frodo" the choir is singing in elvish

One of the greatest surprises details I've ever learned about this masterpiece film

Favorite part of this movie was Legolas and Gimli ( I think?) with Gimli saying “ I never thought I’d die next to an elf” and Legolas saying “ then how about a friend?” With Gimli responding “ Aye, I could do that.”

My favorite little thing from this is Merry and Pippin being the second and third to charge after Aragorn. Pippin in his Gondorian armor and Merry in his Rohan armor. It really shows how much they have grown and accomplished since stealing Gandalfs fireworks at Bilbos party.

The key in the book was the army was afraid, but the hobbits ran without fear towards the enemy but love for their friends which gave the army courage.

I love this scene! Even in a short you can feel the tension, the fear and the hope. This is Tolkien. Such a beautifully crafted story.

The part that gets me is in the fellowship when Sam almost drowns because he made a promise to Protect him. Frodo wouldn’t have gotten very far without Samwise the brave.

A perfect example of how such a quality, magnificent film can pull you into the story with the characters you have come to know and love. I have always loved how Pippin and Merry are the first to join Aragorn. There, with the last forces of the Men of the West united against impossible odds, the most unlikely creature imaginable shows their courage, and that was enough to erase any doubt those men could carry in their hearts.

Holy shit I haven't noticed it before after TONS of rewatches but at 0:04 when it cuts to Gandalf's concerned face, his hand is shown at the bottom right in a subtle motion. Is this Gandalf using his ring Narya / his powers as a Maia to instill courage in Aragorn when he's the most frightened of the darkness of Sauron and his army?

Just after that it cuts back to Aragorn and shows him with a faint smile and of course the iconic line "For Frodo".

I’ve read the books series many times over the years, and being able to have such an amazing visual interpretation of the books has brought me to tears more than once.
