Kadence, Qubely, Stackable Gutenberg Blocks Comparison

UPDATE: Kadence and Stackable have had tons of updates, but sadly Qubely is only rarely getting fixes. At this time I wouldn't recommend Qubely until the team is able to give it some attention.

A thorough comparison of three Gutenberg addons. I look at what is included in the free and pro versions, compare side-by-side some of the blocks, look at performance, and support. I also give my opinion on the strengths and weaknesses of each one and my personal ranking.

Hello dear David - Brilliant introduction - thanks. your videos are a great resource for any one just starting out in all things Gutenberg and Blocks: You provide an in-depth and crystal clear walkthrough of very important topics. Would you do some vids about the new Version 6.1 That would be awesome!

It was a great review - I even also learned a little about how to actually use them. I've seen them all mentioned before, now I can decide based upon your review - THANKS!

I tested Stackable vs Kadence while trying to build a website according to a wireframe I had.

Stackable was lagging a lot while editing and had many visual issues which made it impossible for me have a good impression about it. Yes, it has a big templates library, but what is a good use for it if after importing just 2 of them on a page I could not move my mouse (tried on different PCs, issue persists).

Kadence on the other hand is a great solution. It has all the features I need and I had a great time building my website with it.
Kadence has way more features in free version, for example change on hover, which is not available in Stackable Free Version.

I honestly think Kadence is the best free page builder plugin. I simply could not find anything better.

Thank you for this very well presented and balanced comparison. I just started gaining some familiarity with the paid versions of Qubely & Stackable -- so this video was very helpful.
One question for you -- what app or browser extension are you using to generate the content for the text blocks?

Super excellent comparison video. Thank you. A little clarification tho: It seems that Qubely is the only block system that supports animation. Is that correct? And only Stackable allows you to select the blocks you want to use, yes?. With the others, its all or none (I think Gutenberg has a block manager).

Hi David. Thank you for the good work you put out! At about 13:20 into the video you added a new row layout block with 2 columns and then inserted the 2 card type blocks you had just created into this new row layout block. The insertion was done lightning fast and I could not follow through. I was just wondering how you did this. I am a novice and use your videos as tutorials as I try to understand gutenburg blocks. Hope you can help.

I wonder how the speed comparisons would look if you turned off the blocks you did not use in Stackable?

Very nice review, but would like to know about woocommerce products.
Do they display wc products like they display posts / pages / cpt?
What happens if you install woocommerce?

In fact, I saw stackable is the fastest from your test and also others' test.

Let's compare 3 products.
27:00 Huh. Stackable can't do container outlines. Well that will make the samples look...different.
I will just do ninja css move. So the samples in this _product capability overview_ will look uniform.

Hi David, thank you for making this comparison blocks! I've been waiting for this specific topic ^__^

Quebly Blocks are much Slower Load & bigger total page size is bloated for such a simple 2 columns (based on your test)
Q. How do you manage to optimize it? It must be slower for full page contents and pages)

TIA

I really appreciate this video. I am as I watched this trying to get away from Elementor on a local dev site. I have Kadence free blocks, now after this video Stackable free. My big fear is leaving Elementor for bloat and Google's upcoming imposition of speed, won't these plugins add a ton of code? Is it all Css or is there js to go along with the pro versions to make the blocks?

What would you recommend for the future? Would native Gutenberg developments make all of these addons redundant in the next year or two?

Hi, with block builders how locked in are you to their themes and blocks. For example could you swap out a Kandence theme for a Qubely theme on a developed website? I am hoping that since they are built on Gutenberg blocks then the website isn't broken. Thanks.

How do you feel that these stack up with Elementor (free and Pro)?
