I sort of love these because it implies Kitty has gone out of his way somehow to carve out a cozy space in this little hellspace that is his slice of the backrooms. It brings weird uneasiness to being there and having Kitty seem to take a huge interest in whatever you're doing. Maybe we should think of him more like a gatekeeper than just a friend. Whether he's gatekeeping us, or other entities, I don't know.

A theory on the abandoned level:
Puppy used to live there, with Kitty like a sibling almost. And then he found -974 and went in. Kitty got nervous and scared without him and started ripping the walls and things like up to try and find him, but never did. After a while, he didn’t feel safe there anymore, so he left and hid the place so he doesn’t have to remember it.
It’s really simple but it’s the best I’ve got lol.

Not going to lie, I have a little theory and this might explain the abandoned house. It may be actually Kitty's PARENTS' house! And judging by how Kitty doesn't want you going here, I imagine the poor guy didn't have the greatest time with them...

I remember seeing the OG kitty house video along with the OG puppy's house video and I'm glad to see another sub level of kitty's house. Sublevels have got to be my favorite type of levels in the backrooms just because of how creepy, ominous, and off setting they are

To be fair I don't view any of the retcons to safe levels as "canon". Perhaps the retcons would be sub levels sure, but I view every level as it was ORIGINALLY introduced and any changes are via sub levels.

i think these are both awesome editions to Kitty's House, it really adds to the lore and the thought behind it. :) I wonder if there's more to the relationship between Puppy & Kitty, are they friends? Are they enemies? Because they're complete opposites, but at the same time, I'm curious about the relationship between the two. I feel like there's a possibility of them being friends because maybe Puppy is defending Kitty in a way, for when the person staying in Kitty's House for the moment is being rude or upsetting Kitty in general. Almost to say "you don't deserve to be here" for people who are being disrespectful. Kitty offers a safe space to take a break from the cruelty and insanity of the Backrooms, so if people take that for granted, when they're not being respectful towards Kitty, being sent to Puppy is Kitty's punishment because Kitty is naturally very peaceful and doesn't really attack anyone. By the way, I wanted to say that I really like your videos, you do an awesome job on them. They're high-quality, entertaining, and you give accurate information about the lore to the Backrooms not just made up BS or clickbait your videos. We're all proud of you, keep up the good work! ❤

I have a theory, kitty and puppy used to be friends and puppy lived in 974.1 and kitty lived in were we now call kitty's house. Before that it was called puppy and kitty's house because puppy used to be friendly. But one day puppy lost it and kitty had to banish him to -974 were he lives now

The concept of a sub-level of course would eventually become a common for every single backrooms level; but as you start to understand, everything in the backrooms happens upon variables and acts as creation born once we think it; alongside the endless mazes of unknown purgatories. Anything we imagine will then exist within the backrooms, almost like alternate-realities. Any possible variable or parallel that can happen, will most likely happen within the backrooms.

With 974 existing is both the positive and negative counterparts, you have to now include the variables that can exist every time you spawn in to either-or. Yes, you explained there's 2 existing realms of 974: The positive, and the negative -974.1. Now add in all the variables and possibilities that can happen at random, and boom...you know have 1000+ endless occurrences that can happen once you spawn in, ranging from encounters being positive, to incredibly hostile and dangerous, to lastly having no signs of sentient life.
