I have listened to his book on Audible and it is very good. Listening to him talk on other shows you can tell he has been drinking on this one as his words are slightly slurred. I hope he is on the road to recovery now as he is a wonderful person and a great musician.

Phil wanted to fill in for the position of drummer of 'The Who' after the passing of the great Keith Moon. Phil approached Pete Townshend to propose this idea, but he was late because the band had already found a replacement, a Mr. Kenney Jones. But in retrospect, it worked out well for Phil since he became the frontman of Genesis. What a big success for the band!! Genesis > The Who.
