trying animation with Clip Studio Paint

was meaning to try this program for the longest time for animation!! this was such a happy opportunity to be asked to make a video about it, it felt like i was being given a nudge to try new things out :) thanks CELSYS!

also life update (with regards to my animations/videos): this is the last time my audio quality's gonna be this wonky HAHA i bought a mic shield recently and i didn't know it made the sound so much better!! maybe you guys won't notice in the next video but i will because when i edit it i watch it a billion times LOL

apart from that i recently got a little handful of new animation assistants who will be helping me clean-up/color my drawings!!! i'm so excited and i should've gotten more assistants earlier, i'm so grateful for their help!! i can get stuff done faster and have more time to start on my other projects now, too! this has been the most productive month of my life my hair's turning white help

Highly recommend auto actions, they're like macros to automate stuff. ie, new layer > name layer > set opacity > clip to layer below, all in one button. very useful for animation

and assigning folders to the timeline makes things a lot more convenient, even if you have one raster layer in each folder. copy pasting, merging, and some other basic stuff are pretty annoying if you just have the raster layer itself assigned to the timeline.
I animate professionally, and these are the things I found the most useful starting out :) Nice video!

You did some crazy stuff with just this short animation! The blur so the camera can "focus", the cat purring at different volumes when it gets closer, all the usual little details that you do so well are very present here. :)

6:55 THIS BLEW MY MIND!!! I didn't know that doing vectors with different brushes was a thing!!! I thought it was with certain brushes! Ive been using CSP for about a year and a half and had no idea that was an option.
