Big thumbs up 👍🏼 on the Frogg Togg. It’s nice to be able to stay fry and keep the backpack dry as well.

Those cheap disposable ponchos aren’t always big enough for you and your gear. And, a rip on the back of one of the cheapies can make for a soaked backpack. 😢

I travel a bunch, my recommendation is use an actual credit card or prepaid cc for purchases and not a debit card.

In the event that it is stolen, your real money in a bank account isn't touched, and its generally easier and faster to get charges reversed on a credit card. Also you don't compromise your ability to pay your bills/expenses while its getting straightened out.

Definitely some bandaids (to serve double duty for blisters). Comfortable shoes (running shoes?). Foldable shopping bags & I like to carry a name tag with my call sign too. Great vid.

Great video and I agree with the contents in your pack. Love my Frogg Togg except I use their poncho instead of rain jacket. Makes a good ground cloth to sit outside too. The only other thing I’d add on my list are snacks. Sometimes the blood sugar gets low and I don’t like what local food vendors are selling or want to wait in a line. Some protein bars or other snacks come in handy. Enjoy Dayton and we’ll see you in Huntsville.

I carry a backpack. Raincoat is a good idea. I am on on Pain MGT, so make sure Ifyou are keep only enough for use that day in a bottle with your name on it. Also small meter is a good idea too

Light long sleeve shirt/jacket for cool morning out at the boneyard, flashlight and always comfortable shoes and socks.

I havent been to a hamfest but on a few day trip, I take at least a weeks worth of prescription meds and a small carabiner torch. Maybe some gumboots in the truck would be handy too.
I learnt a few good things to take, thnx buddy. ;)

I always like to have the following things:
Ibuprofen
Water bottle full of fresh water
Electrolites in tablets
Moleskin
Some duck tape
Protein bar/Granola Bar
A notepad & pen, a small ruler inside the notepad.
Reference price list of the things I’m looking for with specs. (This year I’m looking for some solar panels so I’m going to go with some idea of what used panels are going for at what wattage output for example).
A USB Battery Pack & cable to charge my phone.

Hey Jason,
This was fun and informative.
Your kit is simular to my EDC commuter bag.
The one thing I would would highly recommend including are snacks, something simple like trail mix or jerky. At the least a roll of hard candy incase your blood sugar drops.

Never make the mistake I did and leave your kit alone at Field Day. I was picked near clean in a short while. Now it stays in the truck under lock and key.
