At this point, we should all assume that EVERY purchase is carefully tracked by people we don't want it to be. Buying seeds for your garden? Stocking up on disaster supplies? Guns? Ammo? Gun parts? Assume they know everything. Plan accordingly.

I quit banking with bank of America a decade ago. I only use a local regional bank that I know for a fact doesn't track stuff like this. Visa on the other hand

It was an honor and a pleasure to throughly question Chase management and VISA as to how they've got so much technology to individually track our LEGAL firearms and ammunition purchases, yet their credit cards are routinely compromised and breeched by even the least skilled of hackers and I've got NOTHING from them on what they do to prevent that. The answers I got sounded like they were coming from preschool drop-outs.

While Bank of America/Visa has paused this code tracking, Discover card has announced they will start tracking gun purchases starting 4/1/23. Be aware!

I'm only one of probably thousands of customers who wrote a scathing letter of disapproval to Discover last week. Lo and behold, they decided to pull back from reporting MCC codes. For now anyway... 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Centrally banked digital currencies have been on a trial run since last fall. I’ve taken the opportunity to use cash for everything that I can since then. Very concerning stuff.

I'm a former customer of BofA. I closed my accounts when they announced that they were providing special accounts for illegals with no ssn requirement or government tracking.

When I found out what BoA has been doing, I promptly closed all my accounts and switched to a small credit union.

All of this the past summer has allowed me to improve my relationship with a couple local gun shops, and I simply have them order the items that I want, since they already are on a list, and then I go in and pay cash for the items. Sometimes there’s a mark up, but other times they’re able to get me a discount, depends on what it is.
