Please bring back more edit videos. These combined with tutorials are the reason I subbed to begin with. Really enjoyed this one.

Hey Peter as a lab operator I have to say processing C41 at home isn’t that difficult and black and white is even easier to do so definitely give it a try, you might learn a lot! Also you can try “scanning” you’re own film with your R5, got one customer who doesn’t use our lab scanner anymore but instead uses his Hassleblad for it. Definitely give it a try, looking forward to the book at the end of the journey. ✌️

I love that you did a tutorial where you're showing how subtle you've kept adjustments! It's refreshing vs the really in-depth and dramatic before and afters we can see so much of on Youtube these days!

Hey there. I’m diving back into photography after almost 20 years of putting my camera down to raise a family. The kids are now old enough that I have decided to pick it back up. And may I just say thank you. Your videos have helped me so much. Photography has made big advances since I first started learning. I have been able to walk right into this with almost little to no difficulty thanks to you. I also subscribed to Benjamin Hardman channel as well and between the two of you I feel like there is nothing I can’t learn or figure out. So again thank you so much for your content.

I’m only two videos into your channel and already you’ve inspired me to get up off my ass and dive back into my artwork. Thank you 🙏🏽

I love how your edit used to be a little bit over the top and how it's become so subtle. Love seeing your journey!

Hey Pete! Could you, for fun sake, do a paralel shoot with film vs digital? And how you'd edit the different photos? And, maybe a cool idea, get you macro buddy to "repro" your film for you, so you can get deeper in on that grain. Go abstract!

Hey Peter, so interesting that you mentioned the darkroom. Now that it's winter I am spending some time in mine, doing B&W prints, and I can tell you this is something you shouldn't miss. Working mostly in the darkness, in that dim red light, you can feel how obsession for images grows inside yourself. Doing test strip after test strip, print after print, in such a slow and limited process, it all can feel like a transcendental experience, in my humble opinion.

Because I have and still shoot film. Unless the picture asks for a particular heavy edit. 95% of the time, I edit (if needed), just like you just did. Whether it’s film or digital. Then again. I learned to do most everything before you shoot. Makes a difference. So happy to see you embracing it all. 😊

I have watched your videos for years now. Even though the energy and content you bring is absolutely next level, I have always felt a bit of a resentment towards how you edit. Very happy that you have come to this point with your style.

This shows exactly the biggest thing I love about film - the baseline is so good that editing is super easy.

This is interesting, but I just wanna say, back in the day, I spent WAY more time working on prints in the darkroom than I do now in photoshop. It’s kind of amusing to hear an “aesthetic” for film with almost no post editing. Glad you’re enjoying film!

thx pete, such beautiful places you've shown us. The medium format is wicked!

Processing your own film and printing that film in a dark room is so much fun! 100% Reccommend doing it, also alternative printing processes are an amazing experience if you can do it, turning Black and White photos into giant negatives and sunprinting is an experience like no other.
