I went to a youth retreat in Illinois around a month ago. On the last day, Sunday morning, we sang the words "Set a fire down in my soul, that I can't contain that I can't control. I want more of you God, so much more of you." for 20 minutes straight. We all just stood there & repeated those lyrics. The band players stopped playing their instruments & just sang with us. It was so beautiful.

I was once again reminded of the story of Mary when Jesus visited her and her sister Martha. Mary chose Jesus over everything. It became clearer to me why she chose Jesus. It was something more. More than teachings, but Jesus alone. His presence. Jesus set a fire in Mary's heart, and I was imagining Mary telling Jesus, "No place I'd rather be, Jesus." ❤

I love this song, we practiced this song during youth worship practice in open bible rosemead CA and the fire came down and took over practice, it was beautifull we worshipped for 30 to 45 straight.

Last night was youth group night and most of our worship leaders we're gone. So, some of the teens and I stepped out to help. If the worship wasn't for God, I don't think any of us would have the boldness to sing a new song, Set a fire. Since rehearsal wasn't the best, it was great that this song was simple. It even got stuck in my head. That's why I'm watching this video. God did amazing things last night.

This video is one of the reasons why I was inspired to start a prayer group with a few teens in my church. Next week six of us ages 15-17 will be gathering together in one of our homes, praising his name. You can be sure that one of the first things we pray for is for God to set a fire in our hearts.

This song gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. I just got back from a mission trip to El Salvador. and all week long, whenever I was hard at work in the heat and feeling miserable I would sing this to myself. It makes me sooo happy and grateful for my God.
