In my opinion I think this was amazing, the judges seemed to be a bit harsh? Regardless I keep finding myself coming back for more and that to me shows how talented Diana is!

Diana says she regretted choosing this song after the first rehearsal as she found it difficult and tiring but had to go through with it. Apparently it was written for a duet so more work to do it solo.

Every round they had a new musical challenge, so sometimes the singers were forced out their comfort zones. Apparently Diana doesn't care what she sings. She handles all genres equally well.

This Song was chosen by the other Singer/Judges. During the competition she was only able to choose 2 Songs. It was her first time singing with other favored Artists. During this time…she was creating original music, attending GITIS University and still performing live concerts. The other Singers were amazing as well. I’m so happy I got to hear and watch the entire Competition two years ago. They were mentors to her then. They really cared and supported like a little Sister. Now recently she participated in the Mask Singer and one of the Singers was the show host. Thank you for reacting to one of her competition songs. 🙋🏻‍♀️❤️‍🔥🎼🙌🏽

Yes that's right! Some of the judges were harsh with her (perhaps because they envy her, or wanted to reduce her votes). But your reaction was absolutely good!

I loved that song even though it was her lowest scored on that show, it was full of energy and it was a golden spectacle with great choreography.
No body has to like everything but the thing i will agree with the judges is that her version is absolutely superior to the original.
The original is borderline annoying to my ears it has a weird whistling sound that repeats over and over again.
You also have to take in to consideration that this song is designed for two singers and Diana sang it alone, plus she added the "Rap" and vocalization parts.
Lastly this was the first time for many people that saw Diana sing a dancy pop song so it kind of alienated them from her more "Epic", "Haunting" image they had for her in their minds.

Compared to her other performances in the show i would rank this in the lower middle not because the performance was bad but because she had some absolute masterpieces there and they are incomparable, my personal ranking would be like this:

- Crow
- Can't help falling in love
- Oh it is not yet Evening
- Personal Jesus
- Twist in my sobriety
- Mom i am dancing
- The way (I liked this song way more than "Mom i am dancing, " but i find that it is too short and it is also a song that i would not listen again and again unlike the fun "Mom i am dancing".)
- Little Prince
- Help me

The doubling of the voice is a delayed microphone echo that is heard most prominently on the rap part of the song (it goes on and off there so it is noticeable), this does not mean that the singing is not live it is an easy effect to achieve live.
The judge said that the song was so good that it sounded like a recording while it wasn't and that is why it is worth to mention repeatedly that the sound was indeed live.

The lyrics that say (dancing to our "Barefooted") refer to another song by the original artists of this titled "Barefooted" so it says that they dance to their previous song, not that they dance barefooted.

As a side note, check you automatic subtitle options, it is set to translate from Russian instead from English, there is no point in translating the sound of the video you watch, it already have subtitles, it is you who has to be translated in to other languages.

The original song was written and performed by the duo #2Mashi.
The video - posted on their YT channel - has 292m views!
The judge/fellow contestant Anatoly Tsoy was right when he said that Diana's performance is better than the original. As always on this show, the arrangement and production is superb and Diana's vocals are of course out of this world.
For the most part the judges are full of praise. The only exceptions are Anatoly Tsoy, who criticised the song, not Diana's performance, and Stas Kostyushkin, who was taking (a possibly self-mocking) explicit revenge for the fact that in the previous episode, acting as judge Diana had savaged his performance and awarded it a mere 2 points out of 10!

Greetings from Scotland! Don't worry too much about what the "judges" said, after all, they were her fellow competitors! Seriously though, they were just making a show, more than a contest. I mean, after Diana sang her first song of the 9 songs she performed, everyone already knew who was going to win this contest because she is in a completely different league vocally. No disrespect intended to the other 8 singers who are all very well known singers in Russia and beyond.

Я имею в виду, что после того, как Диана спела свою первую песню из 9, которые она исполнила, все уже знали, кто победит в этом конкурсе, потому что она находится в совершенно другой вокальной лиге. Не хочу проявить неуважение к остальным 8 певцам, которые все очень хорошо известны в России и за ее пределами.
