The retro sci fi aesthetic I really enjoy. The set design in this movie really gave a sense of life while still being somewhat unfamiliar. It’s a goofy movie but is extremely charming

Fun Fact : that bit where Willis stifled a laugh before saying nice hat. It wasn't in the script, he lost control and broke character because the scene was so funny. The director liked it and instead of doing a re-take used it in the movie.

Don't know how this movie didn't explode at the box office. Profoundly original, great performances by everyone, with standouts being Chris of course who delivered in spectacular fashion. This is saying a lot with the outstanding, nay, spectacular acting of everyone on this film. The President, the general, every little part was amazing. The movie was smart, incredibly unpredictable, with constant comedy and action. It is one of the best movies, IMO, of the last several decades, up there in originality with The Matrix. Even Bruce did a great job, selling himself as a younger man, utterly cute in his falling in top notch all around.
