Now that the season has begun,
I've been praying for several things such as my broken and divided family and praying for the person who started the mess from the beginning. And I'm also trying to stop eating anything that is unhealthy and start eating more healthier and lose weight so I can put myself in spring training for Special Olympics this year. And I'm trying to think of ways doing acts of kindness towards others.

An Episcopal priest once gave me an idea I found valuable. Rather than giving something up for Lent for penance, adopt a new discipline. Not setting a goal...adding some sort of discipline. Personally, I think adopying one you haven't done before is best.

I don't get the scrupulous thing. I go to confession once a week and that is to be cleansed before receiving the Eucharist? Am I not supposed to be going to confession once a week?
