Study tips in the description! 📋
Показать описание
My exam study approach:
1. Active studying always i.e. I use question banks. It evokes deep processing, and deliberate practice and promotes the QUICKEST way to learn i.e. from errors
2. Video instructions make it memorable for me more than reading (YOUTUBE university works well, but I also have a paid video board review lecture series I use for emergency medicine)
3. Textbooks only for concepts I do not fully understand or know about. I don’t do mindless reading!
4. Review books to review things I need a quick surface-level understanding of (can’t review concepts you’re still to learn!)
5. I NEVER SIT DOWN TO JUST READ AIMLESSLY, I only read the topic from my review book after I answered the question incorrectly on my question bank or if I got the correct answer by elimination or guesswork
From 1-5, which of the above do you implement when studying? 🤔
___________
📣 Pitch yourself with your personal statement! Do you have a compelling PS yet?
Many IMGs are incredibly talented but struggle to showcase that in their personal statements. Are you aware of your strengths and weaknesses but unsure how to present them in your ERAS application?
If your PS feels vague, generic, and lackluster, it might not highlight what residency programs truly seek. Let’s change that!
