Which ICE HUT Is Better? (Pop Up Vs Flip Over)

Watch as I review both ice huts that I own and decide which is better. What do you prefer?

Definitely prefer a flip over. I usually fish alone or with my gf so I don't need a ton of room and I love how easy it is to setup and also you can't beat just flipping it over to move to a new spot and flipping it back over.

I have both and use both all the time. Just depending on what I’m doing. Prefer the flip over but I use the hub with more than 2 people. Or for when I want more holes in the house. And for spearing. Flip over is good for hole hopping or by myself since it’s very hard to setup a hub house in heavy wind

I have both, since I bought the flip over the hub hasn’t been used. It’s nice to be able to half open the flip over, wind at your back and sun in your face or flip it back over if you get cold

I have 3 sets as pop-up shanty, 2 men flip over, and one man flips over. It depends on the day and who are going or where to go. Most of the time, I use two men to flip over more room for myself. One man flipped over for a short day. My friends or my kids are going with me. I'll use pop-up shanty.

I like flip overs much more. Faster n easier to set up. No screwing in ice cleats or having to pop down n fold into a zip bag when cold.
By the time you carry all the seats, tables etc needed for a pop up it's crazy. Flip over has everything attached inside your tub n house.
I think people buy hubs because they think it's cheaper n more room.
I have had all sizes of flop overs throughout the years n now just have a 1 man insulated that stays hot with a lil buddy heaters.

Keep in mind the flip overs are heavy when there is snow on the ice. I have the clam insulated 2 seater flip over and it weighs over 125lbs with zero gear

I use my flip over for day trips. I use my hub for overnighters.

Do you pull the flip over by hand? Is so is it heavy?

If you need to go to the toilet, a flip over is way faster. Just fyi.
