In Kolkata there are 200+ pandels with a budget of 1 crore rupees but he only get to see the slum theme and people living in slums with pride. US foreign policy revolves around same old portrayal of India that it is a poor country and people take pride living in such poor conditions. He would have mentioned the Total go green pandel or plastic pollution awareness pandel instead he mentioned the slum one. It only shows that US desperately needs it's ego boost when the world's power centres are diversifying and different players coming into the picture .Us cities like Chicago and Detroit have one of the worst slums but people don't get to know about it.
