For everyone saying he felt Barry arrive through the speed force or something similar: probably not, 1 he uses negative speed force so thawne wouldn’t *directly* notice someone travelling through time using it. Remember here thawne didn’t have speed, as their was no flash in that time because he was about to make him, but thawne probably heard a sound behind him, very subtle like a tiny amount of wind, and knew it could be a future version of Barry, so he went to to location of the time vault and then that little movement of his fingers I presume means he was checking for his speed, as that would mean someone using the speed force would have to be present in his time for him to be able to use his own negative speed force.

Thawne was the only villain that scared me

the whole first season, I thought that Dr. Wells was a normal and good character, despite the fact that at the end of almost all episodes we were shown the dark side of Wells

I miss the good old times as Thawne was really badass and cold instead of just beeing mad for revenge. I hope the series ends with a Thawne from season 1 who is exactly as fast as Barry in the end so they fight forever or die both.

I just found out that Tom cavangah(the actor who plays wells) is a director for the show

He could have felt him or he could be using the fact that Barry in his timeline has no powers so there’s no way he would have powers aka he can’t use super speed legit shown in the first episode when the flash leaves he can’t use his super speed Anymore so he knows a speedster is here because he has his powers.
