Calgary man charged in 'grandparent' scam

Investigators say a Calgary man is believed to have defrauded several local seniors out of thousands of dollars over the past four months.

Anyone who falls for these types of blatant scams are clearly not competent to be in charge of their own finances or likely much else important in life. Sure the scammer is a scumbag but this should almost be implemented as a test as to when an elderly person should be forced to delegate a power of attorney family member or institution.
