→ About the speakers:
• Clemence Kyara is CfA's full-time chief technology officer. He holds a B.Eng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering from the University of Pretoria (South Africa) and has over 10 years of experience in system design and software development in the open-source sector, spanning research, civic technologies, and fintech. His published work includes ‘Towards Designing High-Throughput Routing Metrics for Wireless Mesh Networks’. Clemence leads a team that is currently working on identifying AI.

• Israel Olatunji Tijani is an IT expert with an interest in data analysis. He obtained a professional certification in Text Analysis with SAP. As a technology expert, Tijani attended a PHP and My SQL database workshop in Kuala Lumpur. Israel recently built a CHAT VE AI chatbot tool that can be integrated into WhatsApp and other platforms as a virtual assistant to educate voters during the recently concluded Nigerian elections.

• Cui Jia Wei is a graduate student studying IP and competition law at National Taiwan University and serves as a research assistant in Academia Sinica for AI and information technology law. Besides his job and academic work, he also participates in g0v, a civic tech community in Taiwan. The project, vTaiwan, in which he participates just won the OpenAI grant of Democratic Input to AI with a proposal cooperated with Chatham House.

• Nduku Kiteng'e is a senior product manager at CfA's New Initiatives team. Prior to joining CfA, Nduku was a consultant who developed programmes for youth employment and entrepreneurship in Kenya and sub-saharan Africa. She has developed training curriculum for early stage entrepreneurs, carried out labour market assessments, and has been involved in the launch of youth empowerment programs in Kenya and beyond. Nduku is passionate about adapting new global trends such as AI to the African demographic.

The Code for All Summit is an annual event that brings civic technologists together from around the world. This year, it will take place on September 18th - 21st and will focus on:

→ Tech for Global Social Justice
→ Tracking Civic Tech Impact

The summit will be a space to deliberate and examine civic tech’s works, lessons, and impact on a global scale; an opportunity to meet online, connect and share insights.

Recommendation for the following sessions: that the presenter uses a microphone (even a simple one from headphones improves a lot the quality).
