Let's analyze that in my Croatian translation, shall we.


Psalam 118:8 – „Bolje je pouzdati se u GOSPODA nego položiti povjerenje u čovjeka.“

Instead of 14 words, I have 11 in this verse. However, the middle word is in fact GOSPOD (LORD). Sounds great so far. However, in Croatian we don't have the definite article, so a word has been removed there, hence it's not perfect as in the King James, where there are two middle words. Sadly, I can only have one in my language.
Anyway, moving on. Instead of 6 words on either side of „the LORD“, I have 5 on either side. Still, it is at least symmetrical, so I guess it's OK. Oh, wait; the Bible has 66 books, not 55. Oh no...
I guess Croatian Bible has been written by man then...


Perhaps we'll have better luck with Psalm 119.

The Croatian Bible does have 176 verses also, so I guess that's it then. We finally got it. And 16x11 does in fact equal to 176.
Oh wait, none of our Croatian translations were done in the year 1611. Man, we missed the perfect year to translate our Bible... Case in point, I translated Psalm (and it's Psalm – singular, not Psalms – plural) 118:8 as I was writing this comment in January 2020 and it is all messed up, even though it's accurately translated. None of that King James stuff was preserved in it.

Well, I guess English is the perfect language, and the Bible is only perfect in English. And it had to be translated in 1611 at that.

Sorry folks, and my Croatian brethren, we all missed it. Time to start learning English. The perfect, preserved Bible is only in English.

Who needs the words when you can just add up the numbers and multiply bits of them together? And don't let it bother you that there's an even number of verses in the book, and therefore no middle verse.
