I tried reading the manga a while ago, and wasn’t able to really get into it. But now, watching the anime for the first time (I’m not skipping anything, here I go) the opener alone shows me why it’s worth watching. I haven’t heard an anime opening that hyped since, well, ever. That’s top tier, and I went into this just wanting the show as something to play in the background while I study.

Song is a classic but I never understood the whole "pocket no coin" thing. Like I understand "sore to you wanna be my friend" but it seems like a complete non sequitur lol. I was a manga only for the longest time but I might as well watch instead of reread and I've been having a good time so far.

i got into one piece recently (im on ep 322) and its wierd to think about how long this has been going for
