- Carnotaurus (Meat-eating bull) was an extinct genus of large abelisaurid theropod dinosaur that lived in South America during the Late Cretaceous Period. Carnotaurus lived in Patagonia, Argentina about 80 - 70 million years ago. The type and only species of this genus is C. sastrei.
