It's not the way how symbiotic endomycorrhizal fungi multiply. It is the way to produce yeasts. There is a lot of factors to watch for to explain why it works (if it works). However to be exact: every single cubic centimetre of old garden (or forest) soil contains millions of millions living fungi and nothing needs to be added. Old Russian (XIX century) books on forestry and orchards advised to bring some pounds of old soil from the forest or old orchard when planting trees on the entirely new place. Do not bring tons - fungi will multiply by themselves. There is no magic bullet to buy, but some help from the free resources can be beneficial. Thank you for the video!

Great video. However, mycorrhizal fungi that colonize potatoes (arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi) cannot grow in this broth. These mycorrhizal fungi need a host plant to grow. I do believe that you have fungi growing in this broth and some of them may be beneficial for your crops but these are not what we call mycorrhizal fungi. Anyway... great garden and great videos. Congratulations!

Thank you for showing us your techniques

AMF (Arbuscular Mycorrhizal Fungi) are aerobic and they will not survive 10 days in water. You are probably growing anaerobic beneficial saprophytic fungi and some bacteria. AMF grow in roots and from the roots in the soil. You can extract AMF by using root fragments and soil from your interest plant (potato) to inoculate new plants directly. If water is used in AMF extraction should be used within three days to avoid spore germination when there is no compatible host plants. You welcome to contact me for additional information.

I am not quite understanding what you did there.
It looks like you washed the potatoes in water using that water to scrub off the fungi on them?
Then cultures that element in the water bucket in molasses and air bubbles for about 10 days until it grows a bunch fungo in it?

Dear Mr Manfred Druschowitz,
Could you tell me how to produce mycorrhizae when i do not have Mycorrhizae fungi ?
NguyenThanh-imkp
do you have a picture of what the fungi looks like in the bucket after 10 days? and is there a way to keep the fungi growing through the winter months and then start to grow it again in the spring. i bought some commercial and put it in my fruit tree containers. I have some left and figured i could grow some of it is why i looked it up on fb and found this video

I have wacht your two films on growing Mycorrhizae but you haven't ever don a update to show your results ?
knowing alittle bit about fungi they need other nutrution to grow next time make a update to show your results

Molasses is bacteria food; not fungal food. You are definitely increasing the bacteria and fungal count by introducing so much fungi, and giving the bacteria so much food.

Hi Jean, I have planted Mycorrhizae Fungi all over my Garden from a commercial supplier in Melbourne and with my compost we have Tomatoes green Tea and Fig Trees + a Garden beyond believe, there are some Photos from it on Google + however I believe you but see my other video grow Mycorrhizae Fungi fast Youtube Kind Regards

dr. elaine ingham avoids molasses so that fungi can propagate in her soil.

This was 8 years ago.
since then, Johnson Su compost has gained popularity for introducing fungi to soil.

What was that apparatus you stuck in the pail of liquid?
SparklyGirl
If you first shred the potatoes they will decompose faster. Also if you let the slightly rot and stink and throw in a brew the aerobic bacteria will go nuts eating anaerobic bacteria and fungi

Buy from Indonesia, it's a lot cheaper ...(as usual) xixixi
rudycahyono
why not make it clear on how tou made it? Like theres alot of new people warching, we dont live in your world. Thanks for the effort tho.
lussyl
where is the results? i didnt see any after shots of the fungi growth. i keep seeing how to videos on how to grow your own or capture but never anybody showing proof that there way worked

Look up Natural Korean Farming on Chris Trump or Drake's channels.

Probably have better luck rinsing the roots and the hyphae since that’s where Mycorrhizae inoculation takes place and yes you need a living root for them to grow. Please people do your homework before you post videos
