I repaired one of my racquets following the video using the Yonex 0.7mm string I purchased for about $1.50 USD. For a novice like me without a machine, it took about 1.5 hours - 1 hour to string and 30 minutes to tension. Tensioning wasn't in the video but it was pure common sense. Otherwise, you just made yourself a butterfly net. I performed the tensioning by feel so the strings were pretty tight with very little deflection like a guitar string. Tools I used were a hook and locking pliers to maintain the tension. It wasn't a professional racquet so for a little money and some time and effort, it was worth it. A professional usually charges $15 - $20 USD to restring. That's how much I paid for the entire badminton set. The real test was playing with the new string installed. When I hit the shuttlecock, I hear a nice high pitch ping. Not bad for a novice.

First thing that string are always made from the centre another thing if u have a good racket it should have a tention of 20-22 for intermediate players. The cost of the good string varies from 350-550 and strung charges are 50-70 depending upon your area with a machine that balances the tention. One more thing if a racket is strung good it should sound like metal when u hit it on your palm. This is just a waste of time and a good string as there is no specific tention and it will surely ruin the shape of racket... Thanku
