The creator also snuck in Ny a couple times, from his comic series Johnny The Homicidal Maniac. Always thought it was weird as hell Nick took a look at that and was like "Yeah, let's get this guy."

Invader Zim is such an underappreciated show. I'm glad it was able to get a comeback with Enter the Florpus, even if it was just for one movie rather than a full new season.

The clearest sighting of "Bloody Gir" is in the episode "Bad, Bad Rubber Piggy", and you can see it during a close up of a portal. The image is made super transparent but its there.

I'm sure it's well known enough nowadays, but it was just too expensive of a show that didn't reach it's target demographic. But, fun fact, they tried to bring it back in 2012. But the story goes that they just couldn't work out a deal with the budget the creator wanted.

It shouldn't be too surprising, the creator of Johnny The Homicidal Maniac was the creator of Zim. There was a spin-off to the Johnny comic called Squee that focused on Johnny's rightfully freaked out neighbor.

Omg, I swear I saw this as a kid before when pausing a pre-recorded episode or something. When that image of Gir popped up, it opened memories I haven't had in years.
