The Haikyuu dub is not terrible, but it is worse than the sub. I think the English dub did pretty well on the comedic aspect of the anime (ie: every moment outside of the volleyball matches/practices). However, the translation and delivery of volleyball terms and during games in general is severely lacking compared to the sub.

TLDR; It fails as a volleyball anime and succeeds as a slice-of-life comedy.
