Had a 70-200 f/4L (non-IS) from 2015-2019. Sold it off after I got the 100-400mm but I've since added a 70-200 f/2.8L to the bag for pro work. Absolutely love it.

I've always preferred my 100-400mm. Slow, little heavier, but I've taken it pretty much everywhere I've gone and it's never failed me.

I wasn't sure about this lens when I bought it, but it's become my go to lens. I've used this more than any other.
Just be careful if you're in a war zone. Some chump in an Apache might mistake it for a rocket launcher.
