When the guy opened the plate I was like “wait I recognise that knife style” then looked at my dads cutlery and it’s a Sheffield Hand ground bone handle set. Never realised our cutlery was THAT old. Then again, grandma from the Edwardian period.

I live not far from Blists Hill and it was always one of our school trips as a child, it’s an awesome place to visit. They also run an annual Steampunk weekend which is a fabulous event. So glad you had an amazing time there.

The fluffy feet horses are called clydesdale Horses and they’re a type of draught ( pulling ) horse from scottland :)

Remember the part where the lady said they ate the bread because it kept them filled up? Did you know back then they put plaster in bread for the people to eat? The bread made with plaster looked more appetizing than the bread made with flour so they made it with plaster to make more money.
