Props to Arun for being honest about the product, rather than pretending it is better than it is just becuase he met with the CEO.

Guy's unbiased, willing to say NO despite speaking with the CEO, and provides suggestions and critical feedback for product improvement instead of just roasting without basis... Kudos to you, nice job...

Ppl say Marques killed the company, but I think Arun went even more brutal and honest on this thing 💀

this is why i love MrWhoseTheBoss. he literally met the CEO and knew that he would watch this, but still gave his honest feedback.

I respect you for standing up and saying "NO" this is not a necessary purchase item. Especially when you were with the CEO you had every opportunity to upsell the product but you wisely evaluated the pros and cons making it clear that this is just another gimmick. Thanks Arun. This is why I am glad to be a subscriber and will always be.

Your last sentence "until Google acquires it..." probably sums up the purpose of the company's existence.

If I were to ever MEET a CEO, I don’t think I’d be able to turn around and say it was bad or ‘not good’. And then say you’re not hopeful? Props for integrity and character

I appreciate you didn’t just smile and say “yep great product, buy it”

You weren’t a jerk, just honest it has a ways to go. Thanks

Reviews like this are genuinely what demonstrate the quality of your reviews. They are honest, detailed, comprehensively address every aspect, and your criticism isn't one dimensional-- you give genuine feedback to implement to the company so it can improve on its next product.

It's so fucking refreshing to see true opinion and not some sponsored rubbish

The fact that "call Arun" took so long to process tells you everything you need to know about this device's limitations.

That's actually a great way to put it "You really want to love it, but you can't"

"This isn't a medical device."
The Ceo gives a disclaimer as an attempt to avoid liability for false advertisement instead of being upfront and transparent about the device's capabilities and limitations.

Arun and Marques reviewing this product showed to me why I love them as content creators and tech reviewers: their honesty. I will always use their videos not only to entertain myself, but also to give me a good idea about the product I wish to purchase.

And as much as I wanna love the Pin as well, I agree with them. It ain't there. And props to them for being so brutally honest about, despite the fact that—at least in Arun's case—the CEO was present

I could see something like this being a tool for the blind or visually impaired. I imagine being able to describe what is in front of someone or what they're looking at in great detail could be super valuable.

I truly appreciate Arun's dedication to speaking his mind without feeling pressured to speak positively of a product just because he got to spend some hands-on time with it.

That final point is exactly what I was thinking. An interface in a pin which pairs with your phone for data, storage, processing etc. would make so much sense and be something I would be legitimately interested in. There is even the potential for something like this to act as the controller for AR glasses to remove the awkward navigational problems those have. I can see a pin being a great part of a system but not as a stand-alone device.

You hit the nail on the head at the end. Tell me something this $700 + subscription AI pin can do that my $200 Galaxy watch (likely soon to be powered w/Google Gemini) can't do. It can already do things like check the time or weather, and have the world's information easily accessible via Google assistant. It has a screen that is WAY better than this pin's laser projector. It's also much more stylish than wearing a black cube on your chest. Once it gets access to AI-powered assistants it'll just get even better. The only thing it doesn't have is a camera, but the one on this pin is barely useful at all as you pointed out AND I have a phone with Google Lens/circle to search in my pocket already.

Seeing this makes you realize how far ahead GOOGLE GLASS was. It truly was the perfect form for an AI.
