Which store do you buy your games from? 🤔

If you’re preordering a physical game, I’d say Walmart is a great choice. I’ve preordered a few video game items from them and they always arrived on time and as expected

When Toys r us was still around, that used to be my favorite video game store for Wii and Xbox games. Never know you made memories until it's gone.

As a Brit, CEX getting some recognition is great. Even if it is only in a title.

My local Walmart always has Switch games 10 dollars off, meaning 60 dollar games cost 50 and 50 dollar games cost 40.

At least Cex got a shoutout, I live near to one, the place is quite GOATED

I think it’s always better to buy physical copies. If you find yourself never playing the game, you can always sell it and get like $30 back. Even better is to buy games secondhand, and when you’re done with it, sell it for the same price. Then you basically played the game for free.

And you'd think that Best Buy would give you the best buy...

Welp, guess their whole name is a fraud

Gamestop also has a $5 reward every month so you could technically save $60 total just not at once

Did a lot of 3DS shopping recently before the store closed down and I gotta say those points really add up. Now I've got like $15 worth of points. Not worth it for the amount of money you gotta spend but that could be any free $10 - $12 dollar game I want or that can be a $45 dollar game instead of $60. Don't underestimate how much it adds up

Thought, If you preorder a game, do it at a store like gamestop. They have preorder prices and they come with it no added price

I like the gold coin system, I've saved so much on the Eshop.

If you're buying new physical games you can still get the points though, and it goes by the eshop price. So if you buy a game that's normally $60 for $50, you still get the same number of points (so long as the game came out in the past year)

You can get that cash back on physical games to. Just press plus when you're hovering over the game, and click redem points I think.

Best Buy used to be the 'Best Buy' about a decade ago when they had the Gamers Club Membership. 20% off ALL new games, 10% off used games, and double rewards points for video game software purchases (which both somehow worked with amiibos too if I remember correctly.) All for $20 it was a steal.

Games from other retailers still give coins back so buying a cheap brand new game from Amazon and then redeem the coins is like the best deal in order to save money

I haven't been to a GameStop in a while. Most of the time now, when I buy games, it's usually for my PlayStation 4. And I usually buy them at a store called Fallout Games. This store has a lot of retro stuff like GameCube, Wii, Wii U, PS1, PS2, and even DS and Atari as well.

At my Walmart the physical games are always 10 dollars cheaper after a month release

Believe it or not, I’d much rather have a physical copy and I recommend purchasing them from target or Best Buy.
