I think the current system works but instead make green villagers investment bros who will take your money and invest it but you have a 90% chance of getting scammed

Inflation IS in the game. In fact, that's why curing zombie villagers is a regular part of trading halls. When you trade a certain item to a villager too much, it raises the price, often drastically. Once that price change occurs, people usually zombify and cure to lower it. It's not that inflation doesn't exist, its just extremely counterable.

if people want to mine diamonds they can mine diamonds. with the smithing templates needing so many diamonds I think that the villager trading thing just makes it easier for us to get tools which I like... (says the guy who grinded 4 sets of armor and tools through villager trading for a dragon fight without having an xp farm because I'm lazy, lol)

They should make villagers raise prices if they are in a tight space to remove villager trading halls

"Why is Minecraft's implementation of capitalism so fundamentally broken?" Easy! Because capitalism is fundamentally broken anyway!

Bring the inflation! Teach the children about the cruelties of the world!

I think the nitwit villagers should offer the ability to trade your emeralds for “bit-emeralds”. They’re worth nothing but they make you look cool on the internet if you have enough and other nitwit villagers will like you better.

Yeah I agree villager trading is very broken (especially when you're able to buy everything for 1 emerald) but because of armor trims, diamond is still in demand.

Mojang keeps nerfing the fun out of finding stuff the old fashioned way so we use trading in order to not have to walk 150000 blocks to find one (1) emerald ore

I think the value of emeralds should vary from village to village

There just are some trades that are absolutely not worth it, like selling stone to masons, and some that just give free money, like iron farms or buying glass and selling panes.

Also, mason's expert and master trades are just ripoffs. 1 emerald for 1 block with no way of discounting? Even farmers sell 3 golden carrots for 3 emeralds so you can discount them.

I think the experimental toggle in Bedrock Preview is a good system. Just stick with that one.

Because villagers are just another farmable creature like piglins. Just another resource.

I've never considered the trading system "capitalism". You're not forced to trade with the villagers whatsoever, it's just SOMETIMES more efficient. The trading system is fine regardless imo, but I've never really used it yet, so...

Wdym there is inflation when you buy too many items.

Capitalism is broken so if it's meant to be capitalism it isn't necessarily an issue
