Our set-up consists of the following instruments:
 
The reference thermometer, the calibration bath and the multiplexer are connected with the multi-functional precision thermometer. The temperature sensors being tested (DUTs) are connected to the multiplexer and inserted in the calibration bath.
The multi-functional precision thermometer, model CTR3000, is a powerful computer which enables a seamless automated comparison calibration. This precision thermometer controls up to 44 sensors if connected via a multiplexer. Timing and set points of a dry-well calibrator or temperature bath can be automatically controlled in defined test sequences. All the test data is recorded via the integrated data logger and can be transferred via a USB key or an Ethernet communication interface.
 
With the automation menu of the CTR3000, calibration test routines can be configured, named and saved for future calibrations. These data sets reference a specific bath or dry-well, the reference thermometer channel and the channels connected to each DUT via multiplexer. Also the test stability, stability time and hold time parameters, as well as the temperature set points are saved.
 
According to the reference the calibration bath will be controlled to its previously defined sequence of set points. Once the stability parameter has been achieved and the hold time has passed, all temperature readings of the reference thermometers and DUTs are automatically recorded. After completion of the calibration sequence the data set can be downloaded for reporting.
