Agreed. But I suspect many of your viewers aren’t looking at that level of bow - just the beginner level bows that can be included in a student outfit. In this case the carbon fibre is usually way better than the included wooden bow and totally worth the upgrade.

My bow is carbon fiber. It came with my student violin, and I kinda like it. I wouldn’t know how to select a wooden bow.

I recomend a wood bow. The wood has been in use hundreds of years there is a reason, it sounds great. I believe you get better bounce from a pernaumbucco wood bow. The carbon fiber may be Allright but is dealer than living cells in a natural living tree. If your bow breaks try carbon fiber but most concert musicians prefer pernaumbucco I would think. There are some nice synthetic bows with blue hair and carbon fiber out there and a pluss is moths and hair eating insects won't touch them that is one of their advantages. I was even considering buying one however I have enough bows already and I may try and find a new one with blue mongolin horse hair however a bow can cost more than a good violin so be careful.hope this helps.
