Sarah Saffian on interviewing: Be prepared, be flexible

Sarah Saffian is a writing coach, author, journalist, and teacher. The author of the memoir "Ithaka," Sarah leads memoir workshops at the Writing Institute at Sarah Lawrence and the Iowa Summer Writing Festival, and offers writing coaching/editing/ghost writing services as The Vertical Pronoun. She has taught journalism at the graduate and undergraduate levels at New York University and the New School, and has been a Senior Editor for Entertainment Weekly, a Senior Writer for Us magazine, and a Staff Writer for The New York Daily News. She spoke with Ohio State University journalism professor Nicole Kraft about interviewing.
