I will never forget watching the first OSM in a Bloomington IN pizza bar in 1987. The place was packed only minutes before Indiana fans scrambled into the streets to celebrate the win over Syracuse. Only a few of us were left including staffers and managers, and we all stopped to watch the original piano & strings intro that no one hardly remembers now.

I’m glad the song stuck with college basketball and not professional football. There is a purity about the song that the NFL now lacks.
