Dan’s father, who passed away from cancer in 2017, gave him a harmonica when he was 7 years old. He said that his dad used to walk around the house playing the harmonica. I think it is perfect in his rendition of Amazing Grace. He also plays the harmonica in his cover of Loch Lomond which is filmed outdoors with his childhood friend, Gabriel and his brother Davi behind the camera filming.

What I know about him is that he is brother in Christ. And that our Father gave him all the voices in the heavenly choir, and that they throw a party every time Dan sings.
I hope you will listen to some more of him. You have “Angels we have heard on high”, O’Holy night” and “Gethsemane”. My favourit is “For all”. A glorious Christian hymn. But he has 250 songs to pick from, so please react to more Dan Vasc.

Who knew a 250-year-old hymn needed metal? Apparently this 33-year old Brazilian metal singer did. He worked for years to develop the power and range and techniques of his voice and put it into this beautiful song. He has stated he is a Christian (Methodist) and put this out for Easter. He has well over 200 videos out there spanning nearly 10 years; much of his work is secular in nature. You may want to check out "Adeste Fideles" and "Angels We have Heard on High" for a start. Everything he does is fire. Dan Vasc sings this as though he is St. Michael slaying demons while praising the Almighty. I'm convinced that archangels sing metal.

Dan really is an epic singer. You can choose any of his songs and each and any of them will surprise you. For starters you can check his covers of the Witcher, Mulan, Phantom of the Opera and Nessum Dorma or Adeste Fidelis...

He is a musical genius and is a perfectionist to the extreme.

And he takes the soul of the music - golden in HIS way - and gives it to our soul.

I have been listening to his cover for a couple of months now and boy oh boy. He just "sprinkles" the metal in appropriate places. He is a Christian from Brazil. The harmonica is brilliant, it gives it a Celtic feel. I live down the street from a Catholic Church and I hear this song on the bagpipes often. Also, for myself and many others, who are recovering from addictive disorders in 12 Step programs we revere this song. Whether we are religious or not. It's about salvation. Blessings...

Your closed eyes throughout listening spoke so much to my heart. I loved your reverent, then joyfully surprised expressions. Been toddling after reactions to this for six months and have found wonderful channels. Dan unthinkably melded metal and gospel, caused a harmonica to mimic bagpipes and created a believer’s power anthem from an old hymn.
