Loni was crying because she knows what’s like being black and getting pushed against a wall whilst being told “No”. So, for her to see another black person succeed and knock down those walls; it moves her. Don’t dog on people for having feelings. Being black in this world is no easy thing. So whenever a sister actually pushes through those doors and says “I’m here and I ain’t going nowhere”; is a BIG deal! Plus, loni is like 40 something; maybe even 50 something; so she’s been alive for a long time and has seen crude racism from back in the day; and some of the amazing things that black people are doing today blow her away. These simple things like being a ballet dancer while being black is a huge deal for loni. I don’t know if y’all just don’t get it; are stupid; or just want to judge loni

If you watch A Ballerinas Tale on Netflix, you’ll understand why Loni is in tears. Misty has an incredible story of beating the odds as a person of color!!<3

I totally understand why Loni is crying. Racism is a thing. People have worked really hard to oppress black people. From slavery to segregation to media stereotypes. So to see this woman blazing a trail and for little black girls to see people who look like them in the front (not just in the back all the time) is amazing. Tears of joy.

She was born with an incredible natural talent for Ballet. I'm a little over hearing about how much of a struggle it was for her.

As much as I love this, it saddens me, though, that this was not a possibility throughout history, to have a wonderfully talented, intelligent, beautiful woman have this opportunity no matter her color or race. Very proud moment for Misty but sad to hear them say that it's "finally possible" when it should have ALWAYS been POSSIBLE based on talent alone. I love this show. I love all these beautiful, intelligent ladies. The best female talk show on TV hands down.

I never heard of her but I’m happy for her. Im sure she is an amazing ballerina and deserving of all her accolades. However, I can’t help but wonder if she would have been able to break barriers had she been a shade darker with a different hair texture.
