Awesome haul this month of some QUALITY reads! (Cole protocol is great if you like Sgt. Johnson)

Also, thank you for the shout-out, brother! Your kindness is second to none. I'm about 30% into book 2 of Monster Hunter and am loving it! Hope you have a great week, my friend!

I love the second-hand volumes you share here, and that I can see on your shelves. So many BookTubers focus on beautiful glossy new editions, and of course those are lovely in their own right. But I'm all about second-hand books. I think it may be because as a kid, almost all my books were hand me downs. I'd get boxes of them gifted from aunt's lofts, or my mother's friends who had kids older than me. Later on in my teens, my uncle would hand over all his science fiction and fantasy reads, thoroughly dog eared and covered in thumb prints from reading during lunch at work in a machine shop. One of my favourite places to spend time exploring, is any second-hand book shop. The feel and smell of well worn books brings back a great sense of nostalgia, comfort, and excitement! Plus, it feels great to get a whole stash at once for next to nothing. Feist and Wurst's Empire trilogy will shortly be winging its way from Ebay, under a tenner for the set. What more could a girl wish for?

Your book hauls are always so fun to watch, even when a lot of the books you get are ones I probably wouldn’t read myself.

My neighbor gave me John Ringo's book a Hymn Before Battle. I haven't read it yet. But I look at it sometimes just because I love that old school cover. I'm definitely interested to see what you will think of his books.

You're going to absolutely love Forgotten Warrior. It's actually the most popular English selling books in India after the Bible. Larry really did his research with that one, and it shows with how many Indians have truly enjoyed it.

OH boy! Death Star! Excited for you're review of it when it comes out, I personally LOVED the book. I finished a re-read of it actually a couple of days ago. Super excited to see what you say about it Jon!

Hey, there's no warping in Star Wars! It's just been through Hyperspace, maybe it even went plaid if you want to go a step further ;)

I asked my son if he was interested in the Halo books and he said no. It was odd. He's a reader and loves Halo. I'll crack that nut at some point.

Hey! I know one of those author sent in books! :)
Gregory Michael is a pretty solid dude as well, I got to know him a bit due to the whole SFSPBO kerfuffle.

I'll have to check on the 1637 series, I love a good alt history story.

Slowly but surely, you'll at least bring the average down.

Jonathon I love that you pick up books i don't see anyone else talking or reading on youtube but for the love of god please start reading Suneater before Shadows Upon Time (the final book) releases on November 18 because out of ever booktuber i watch you're my favorite and I want your thoughts on one of the best Sci-fi series.

If you like historical fiction maybe try Simon Scarrow. I’m currently reading his book Blackout and it’s really good. It’s set during 1939 Berlin and it’s about a Criminal inspector who hasn’t joined the nazi party. Greetings from the uk 🇬🇧 😊

Nobody really talks about Death Star, despite the good reviews. I've yet to read it, and I'm curious to hear your opinion on it.

I picked up Ken Follett's Century Trilogy at an estate sale, and I don't think the guy knew what he had because he only charged me $3 for all three.

I don't want to be that guy, but dystopia *is* science fiction. Hunger Games, Nineteen Eighty-Four, Brave New World, etc. - all SF novels.
